I have noticed that there are a lot of negative reviews about this Motel, but I don't see how. My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was just as good as any other Motel 6. The manager who was working the desk was very friendly and gave us a deal of $40 a night since we were on our honeymoon. He also gave us great recommendations on activities and places to eat. The room was clean and the bathroom was clean. The cleaning lady came and delivered fresh towels and wash rags everyday. I recommend to anyone who wants a basic room and doesn't want to pay an arm and a leg.

We had a pleasant stay here and the guy who checked us in was very kind (Jake). We got a great rate for the area. The room was nicely updated, and relatively clean. The beds were clean and comfy but the washcloths (although they were obviously bleached and clean) had hair stuck to them. Gross. The walls were thin and you could here just about everything going on outside because of a half inch crack in the bottom of the door (that also let in leaves and debris)...we left the bathroom light and fan on for white noise and slept very well. The room was equipped with a fridge and microwave as well as a hair dryer and one cup coffee maker. Overall a pleasant stay for a good price. We will likely return if we're in the area again.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights recently, as we needed a place to stay temporarily, and Econo is one of the last hotels that will still rent to locals. I had actually stayed one night the week prior, and was very impressed with the updated room. The bed was super clean and comfortable, the sheets cool and crisp. The room was clean, and even SMELLED clean when I walked in. We were expecting the same experience when we returned, and we were a little disappointed. This room had obviously been missed during the remodel, or maybe it hadn't had it's turn. The two double beds, albeit comfortable, were clearly older and well loved. The lampshades were cracked, the floor turned our socks black the very first night, we hadn't even had time to track any dirt in. The chaise lounge, that I did look forward to relaxing in while I read or caught I up on paperwork was missing it's footrest, and also looked worn out and tired. The only other negative was when I decided to stay a 3rd night, and showed the night clerk the online price I found for $51.00. He simply said no, it's $69 plus tax. No consideration of the online price, or maybe even a compromise on the rate? He wasn't rude about it, he was actually very sweet and personable during any interaction we had. I would probably stay here again, although next time I would ask for one of the updated rooms! Overall it's a good value hotel, no frills or bells and whistles. Convenient to most of Asheville, and they do seem to have availability throughout the year.

5 star to bump up - they deserve a higher rating honestly. With a bit more attention to detail in cleaning rooms they’d have a solid 5 star affordable hotel. Very nice and accommodating front desk staff, who appeared to run the whole place. They had enough vacancy to put me in a room close to the WiFi router, fast internet, and the room was great for the price! Almost like a single suite: fridge, microwave, tv, desk, ample outlets, black out curtains. Only thing is just.. wipe all surfaces. Mop your floors. Sanitize the place. Under promise over deliver. Great stay though! I’ll honestly go back, hotels in Asheville are wicked over priced.

This motel was not the classy Biltmore Inn but it was comfortable, safe and reasonably priced. The beds were clean, I always remove the bedspread at any motel, the bathroom was clean, I always use my own disinfectant in the bathroom as well; the room could use more hidden detail but that is my OCD and prior housekeeper experience talking. The location was perfect to the Biltmore, (a short drive) and many food and shopping expeditions in the area. The room was comfortable, (NO bugs) quiet, and safe (vehicle parking outside the door). The staff were very nice and welcoming. A good experience visiting the Biltmore in Ashville, NC.

The outside of the hotel might make you uncertain of how your stay will be, but I found the rooms to be very clean. A little dated but that doesn’t bother me. The beds were very comfortable. Perfect for our needs of the weekend.

Wonderful, comfortable beds and clean room. My only complaint is the WiFi doesn’t work. It would never connect on any device. However, we got a great night’s sleep. The front desk was super friendly, too.

We had a great time at this motel. Outdoor access to rooms, but spacious. Bathroom was almost clean, we had to rinse the tub out. Front desk folks were very nice and professional. Breakfast was very basic, just coffee, donuts and bagels.
